Foxy’s Get Off, the group’s second album, was released in 1978 at the peak of the Disco craze. Still led by the charismatic Ish Ledesma, Foxy kept the party in high swing as the kinky and highly risqué title track became an across the board sensation. The remainder of the album continues the party with Foxy’s slick Latin sound that was uniquely its own and did not resemble anything else that was on the airwaves or in the Discos. For 1978, that was a rarity. The power and across the chart success of Get Off overshadowed the remainder of this album, which was a solid effort. Tena’s Song is as funky as the title track and should have been a follow up hit but it just couldn’t match the irresistible kink of Get Off. Lucky Me is just as sexy and hot as the title track and could have easily become a commercial hit had it been released and promoted as a single.
