Bengt Forsberg (born 1952) is a Swedish concert pianist most famous for his numerous collaborations with the mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter. He participated in her project to record songs written in the concentration camp of Terezín. Forsberg has a reputation as a champion of neglected music and composers. He is highly acclaimed as a recital accompanist and regularly plays alongside Mats Lidström and Nils-Erik Sparf.

Mats Lidström (born 1959) is a solo cellist, recording artist, chamber musician, composer, teacher and publisher. His first teacher was Maja Vogl, of the music conservatory in Gothenburg. He then went on to study at the Juilliard School (New York) with Leonard Rose whose own teaching goes straight back to Luigi Boccherini (via Felix Salmond, Bernard Whitehouse, Alfredo Piatti and Gaetano Zanetti). 1996 Swedish Cello Sonatas, (with Bengt Forsberg, piano) Caprice CAP 21460. 1999 Camille Saint-Saëns Cello Sonatas, (with Bengt Forsberg, piano) Hyperion CDH55342.

Bengt Forsberg Bengt Forsberg studied at the Gothenburg School of Music and Musicology, where he first majored in organ, receiving his soloist’s diploma as pianist i. Among his regular partners are prominent instrumentalists such as the cellist Mats Lidström and the violinist Nils-Erik Sparf. His collaboration with the mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter has been particularly successful and they regularly perform all over the world. They have also made many joint recordings, which have received great international acclaim, including a Grammy Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album. Bengt Forsberg also appears as a soloist with orchestra, and has performed with all the major Swedish symphony orchestras, as well as a number of international ones. Bengt Forsberg has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music since 1997.
