It was recorded in a period of tension within the band, and as a consequence mainly of the sudden success of the band's previous album, "Dois" (1986), and the lack of new material. As a result, it's largely a collection of famous songs from Renato Russo's previous band, Aborto Elétrico, some dating back to 1978.
