This album was the first of the band's extensive use of electronics, which lasted about 4 albums or so, but this one seems to do it the best while leaving the rawness of the band in tact. This is something they have also achieved again recently on their most recent "A Moonlight Butterfly" release. There's a certain sad vibe (but not depressing) to The Fawn that makes it a special release.

Their eighth studio album, Car Alarm, was released in October 2008. Their most recent studio album, "Runner" was released in 2012. In 1995, the band contributed the song "The Fontana" to the AIDS benefit album Red Hot + Bothered produced by the Red Hot Organization. In October 2010, the band released "Skies" as a special single to accompany their tour with Broken Social Scene.
