Produced by Rick Smith. Album Trainspotting: Music from the Motion Picture. Drive boy, dog boy, dirty, numb angel boy In the doorway boy, she was a lipstick boy She was a beautiful boy and tears boy And all in your inner space boy You had hands girl boy and steel boy You had chemicals boy, I've grown so close to you, boy And you just groan boy, she said, "come over, come.
Album: Born Slippy (1995). Charted: 2. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. The song was named after a greyhound named "Born Slippy. The band saw the dog running at Romford race track. In the Guardian newspaper February 24, 2006, Karl Hyde said: "We used to go out drinking in Soho and I ended up in the Ship on Wardour Street. All the lyrics were written on that night. A drunk sees the world in fragments and I wanted to recreate that. I was inspired by Lou Reed's New York album and Sam Shepard's Motel Chronicles. I was into flash photography as well, so I was walking around Soho with a notebook and camera, just observing things.
Born Slippy" is a single by Underworld, originally released in 1995 and has never appeared on an album by the group. Despite this, it is often confused with the more popular vocal track, "Born Slippy. NUXX", because of the similar name. However, they are completely different in composition and sound. God Is a DJ. Faithless.
While Born Slippy wasn't the first Underworld disc I purchased (The later Maxi Single Pearl's Girl would hold that honor), the tracks contained on this are varied and capture the prog-trance sound they were going for. The title track (from Trainspotting) is here in long and short form, as well as a couple inspired interpretations by tour DJ Darren Price, who would go on to replace Darren Emerson in the band proper. The Deep Pan remix is a typical Underworld wave of building emotion, and the disc closes out with a liquid sounding remix of Banstyle (off Second Toughest in the Infants). While I don't own this, I've heard all of what's on here. And based on the single alone, the Born Slippy single is worth every penny. Basically this little CD contains Underworld's well known classic. Actually this little beauty was my first exposure into Underworld and what got me hooked.
