Wish You Were Here" is the title track on Pink Floyd's 1975 album Wish You Were Here. David Gilmour and Roger Waters collaborated to write the music, and Gilmour sang the lead vocal. In 2011, the song was ranked No. 324 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album from English rock band Pink Floyd. The follow-up to their legendary album The Dark Side Of The Moon, its genesis was marked by the band’s disorientation following their rise to planetary exposure. Finding it difficult to figure out what to do with their creative future and physically worn out by extensive touring, the band members entered a state where they would reflect on the past, and most notably Pink Floyd founder-gone-mad Syd Barrett. Wish You Were Here has an overal melancholy feel, yet its melodic density, powerful guitar solos by David Gilmour and heavy use of Richard Wright’s keyboards provide a very colourful listening experience. Although they had approached it with quite a bit of a writer’s block, the band members have often voiced their satisfaction with the final result. Keyboardist Richard Wright and guitarist David Gilmour have stated that Wish You Were Here is their favourite Pink Floyd album. Wish You Were Here Q&A.
Pink Floyd followed the commercial breakthrough of Dark Side of the Moon with Wish You Were Here, a loose concept album about and dedicated to their founding member Syd Barrett. The record unfolds gradually, as the jazzy textures of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" reveal its melodic motif, and in its leisurely pace, the album shows itself to be a warmer record than its predecessor. Musically, it's arguably even more impressive, showcasing the group's interplay and David Gilmour's solos in particular.
Pink Floyd were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. By 2013, they had sold more than 250 million records worldwide. Pink Floyd were founded by students Syd Barrett on guitar and lead vocals, Nick Mason on drums, Roger Waters on bass and vocals, and Richard Wright on keyboards and vocals. They gained popularity performing in London's underground music scene during the late 1960s, and under Barrett's leadership released two charting singles and a successful debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967) . The time is gone The song is over Thought I'd something more to say. Home Home again I like to be here When I can. When I come home Cold and tired It's good to warm my bones Beside the fire.

Just so you know; I'm the one who found The Dark Side of the Rainbow sync. I knew a guy who would watch The wizard of Oz every day like 4 times a day. Since i also listen to random music to random video i had the idea to mix the audio with the movie, I never thought it would sync up anywhere as good as it does. I chose the third roar as the start cause i like cats and wanted to remember where i started if there was any good syncs, There were 5 other people there at the time, We all were pretty stunned by the time it was finished. There's more coincidence to the entire story but that's the main gist of it. To be sure you have the best sync, Mrs Gulch entere EXACTLY when the alarms go off and the second . .and round" phrase is EXACTLY when Dorothy has a close up of her slippers. giovanni scavetta - 2 meses atrás. We felt there were issues that needed special prayer attention. We based it on Mark 9:29 where Jesus said, "Some things cannot be done except through prayer. And also, Luke 6:12, "Jesus went out into the hills to pray and spent the night praying to Go. We figured if Jesus did it, maybe we should too. Set aside time to pray. Many people who attended had never prayed for an entire hour. They thought it would be hard to do. But with some direction the prayer time moved right along, and before they knew it, the hour was up. It was a phenomenal experience. One of the highlights of my spiritual journey with Jesus. I still feel the effects weeks later. I have a marvelous peacefulness. I am not as stressed and I am excited about the future. You get God’s attention when you pray like that. Many of us have significant needs in our lives and those we love. We try to solve problems ourselves or figure a way out. But we don’t pray about it. We fail to realize how much God loves us and wants to help us. One of the simplest but most amazingly ignored scriptures in the Bible is when Jesus says, You have not because you ask not.
