The Best Thing for You is an album by trumpeter Chet Baker which was recorded in 1977 but not released on the A&M label until 1989, after the performers death. The tracks were rereleased as part of the double CD reissue of You Can't Go Home Again in 2000 with previously unreleased tracks and alternate takes.

Marc Anthony is an album by American singer Marc Anthony. It is Anthony's first solo album in English, and fourth overall. The album debuted in the top 10 on the US Billboard 200 and has since gone 3 Platinum in the United States. This was Anthony's first English album since his 1991 effort, When the Night Is Over, in which he recorded with Little Louie Vega.

People (like me) who enjoy Baker's singing don't mind that he doesn't "deliver" a song in the usual sense, that he doesn't stamp it with a unique emotional postmark. To us, he's just using the words as a convenient way to deliver the melody-which to him is all that matters. The best introduction to Baker's voice is the 1954 album Chet Baker Sings, the first one devoted entirely to his singing. Like an earlier Chet Baker album in this "Getting Into Jazz series," it featured pianist/composer Russ Freeman. Some of the trumpet solos on this disc are very beautiful, and so the most interesting tracks are those where Baker has time to stretch out and play a few choruses in addition to vocalizing.

You can almost see singer Anthony Kiedis standing in the corner, shirtlessly waiting to leap into the fray. The noise blooms into a Californicatin’ disco inferno called Monarchy of Roses, where Kiedis wonders, Do you like it rough, I ask/And are you up to task? He could be singing to himself. I’m With You finds a mighty band in a scary new role: underdog. This isn’t just a musical reignition – the Chilis are recharging emotionally too. Another loss that haunts the album is the recent death of their close friend, . club owner Brendan Mullen. Brendan’s Death Song begins as an acoustic elegy ( You’ll know it’s your jam, it’s your goodbye, Kiedis almost whispers), then gets Nirvana-loud as Kiedis stares down his own mortality. The soft, intimate Hendrix-like ballad Police Station follows an old lover through the Hollywood ringer, and doubles as a mirror for his own .

The album was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 1999 to partially atone for the oversight. In December 1958, Peter Jones, in the British music paper Record Mirror, said, I feel the LP as a whole has so much magic it is a ‘must’. Among the standouts are the title song, written by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn, which was recorded on Thursday, 29 May 1958. It made N. in the UK after it was released in December the same year.
