Johnson's rhythms were often quite unusual and distinct, so having them isolated is revealing. The second disc is essentially a greatest-hits selection of single releases that the Ethiopians did with Johnson, including such acknowledged classics as "Things a Get from Bad to Worse," "One," and "The Selah. There are countless collections of the Ethiopians on the market, but this one is unique because of the glimpse it gives at how these phenomenal songs were put together. Track Listing - Disc 1. The Ethiopians - Gonna take over now (repress) Classic cut from the Ethiopians. Heavy bass, blissful harmonies and a catchy hook. Need I say more? " . The Ethiopians led by Leonard Sparrow Dillon are well known for their popular melodic songs for Coxsone, J J Johnson, Sonia Pottinger and others but here they are in a relaxed acoustic nyahbinghi style with producer Niney at the controls. Of the three Ethiopians Charlie Morris left first though after their sequence of big hits.

Sir-J - Soviet and Russian underground rap artist, founder of the group ". Community" and the author of most of her songs. Pioneer of Russian hip-hop, one of the members of the jury of the festival Rap Music in Russia. Sir-J - Soviet and Russian underground rap artist, founder of the group ".

Robert Johnson was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi in 1911 and, though much of his formative history is patchy, it would appear followed the typical itinerant life of the country bluesman. He not only covered the traditional southern states but also ventured as far north as Canada, an unusually wide field of operations. These included Kokomo Arnold who, repaying the favour, played on some of Sykes’s own sessions as well as on recordings by another pianist we feature, Peetie Wheatstraw. Old Original Kokomo Blues’, the song that gave Arnold his name, took its title from a brand of coffee. It was picked up by Robert Johnson and turned into the better-known ‘Sweet Home Chicago’, which might seem a little unfair. But then, Arnold had based his own song on Scrapper Blackwell’s ‘Kokomo Blues’!
