Little Roy - Lithium album flac

Lithium is the latest Nirvana song to be taken from the album Battle for Seattle, Little Roy's 10 track reggae tribute to grunge legends, Nirvana. I'm not sure what Kurt Cobain would think about reggae covers of his songs, or indeed anybody making records made up entirely of his music, but as far as being a tribute to a legend, this could have been a hell of a lot worse. Reggae and grunge are two entirely different genres of music: grunge is dark, angry and about isolation whereas reggae is uplifting and all about about joining together.

Little Roy and Prince Fatty's impeccable execution of this content is one thing, for sure. But there's something special in the concept itself, and it shows in the care with which the songs were selected. And I think that it all boils down to the lyrics, and how Roy sings them. And that's a key component of what makes Little Roy's Battle for Seattle, a roots reggae album of Nirvana covers, such a brilliant (and completely enjoyable) success. A really well-written song is like a high-performance engine-it doesn't matter what car body you dress it up in, it's still going to drive like mad!

Little Feat is the first studio album by the rock band Little Feat. It was released in 1971 on Warner Bros. The album was recorded mostly during sessions between August and September 1970. Its sound is in a similar vein as the band's more widely known later recordings, such as 1973's Dixie Chicken and 1978's Waiting For Columbus.
