Excellent tracklisting, some obscure stuff on there, such as the Wailer's funky track, Black Progress. I bought it for the King Tubby/Observers track "Sir Niney's Dub". However very, very disappointed with the cut on this. Although it looks DJ friendly, spread over 3 discs, the sound quality is all over the place. The Wailers 7" is quiet and very muddy, the King Tubby/Observers track is unlistenable. The hi-hats are cutting right through, distorting, makes it sound like the deck is wrecked. The preceding track on that side is fine, clear, balanced.Absolutely gutted. Have I just got a duff copy or were they all cut like this?

To date, I've owned 2 copies of the album. The first copy I had did seem to sound a little better, more consistant throughout all plates bar the 7. Gutted I sold it now. The present copy is as you describe with side F sounding the best, last tracking sounding odd though.
