1000 Travels of Jawaharlal are a Japanese post hardcore/emo band oft overlooked in favor of the emo band to come from the land of the rising sun, Envy. While its hard to argue that this is for any other reason other than the fact that Envy have consistently proven that they are plainly one of the best Japanese bands of the past decade, its sad that a band like 1000 Travels of Jawaharlal, that plays a brand of hardcore vaguely similar to what Envy was doing before A Dead Sinking Story

Had the pleasure of playing with these guys back when an old band of mine did a 3 week tour of japan with Envy back in 2002. And while I love their recordings (especially this album), their live show completely floored me. Floored everyone who was there. It was just one of those truly fun and magical shows you'll always hold a little closer then the rest.
