New Noise Magazine is pleased to be presenting an in depth analysis of Fiesta by Ice Balloons from the band themselves. Ice Balloons recently signed with Volar Records in California and are releasing the full length album Fiesta on August 15, 2017. They are working with Chicago animator Jim Trainor on a video for their song ‘Fallen Family’. Kyp Malone is also making a video for the song ‘Dead Fly’. Ice Balloons is touring the US in August and September.

Ice Balloons are probably best known for including TV on the Radio member Kyp Malone, but they also boast members of local bands Surfbort and Samiam. Now, they’re preparing to release a bizarre collection of songs called Fiesta, their first album since 2013. Also, their lead singer performs dressed in a golden-fly costume. Sumney kills every show he plays, and this balmy summer evening in the park should be no different. If you want to get in, you might be camping out in line for a few hours. Just bring some friends and make it a picnic.
