Miami is the seventh studio album by James Gang, released in 1974. This album is the last with lead guitarist Tommy Bolin before he left to join Deep Purple. The front cover is a black version of their second album, James Gang Rides Again with a pink flamingo added at the bottom. All songs by Tommy Bolin, except where noted.

1973’s Bang represented yet another new beginning for the resilient James Gang. Domenic Troiano replaced Joe Walsh, and when Troiano left, drummer Jim Fox replaced him with Tommy Bolin, who had found minimal success with the Colorado-based outfit Zephyr.

Bang, was the first James Gang album to feature Tommy Bolin. He brought not only his virtuoso ability on guitar, but his talens as a songwriter, and singer. This album boasted Billboards Song of the Year, "Must Be Love". The album is flawless from the opening Echoplex on "Standin' In The Rain" to the closing fade of the EXCELLENT "Mystery". It has Tommy doing his first recorded Lead Vocal on "Alexis", a tune co written with the great Jeff Cook.
