Tranquilly the Maelstrom Starts was released in 1994 and the press echo was more than enthusiastic. Some months later Michael Liebetrau, Angela Grahl and Kai-Uwe Saffran left Anchorage. But nothing could stop the rest of the band: With a bunch of gifted guest musicians they went in the studio. There Kai-Uwe Skerra and Heiko Nitsche composed and recorded during 1995 the second album "The Bleak Wooden Tower with the help of the mentioned guests. 2) Anchorage is a rock band based out of Colorado.
