The Von Bondies were an alternative rock band which formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. The band's lineup often fluctuated, with the only constant members being Jason Stollsteimer (vocals, guitar) and Don Blum (drums). Other members of the band included Marcie Bolen (guitar, vocals), Carrie Ann Smith (bass), Leann Banks (bass) and Chrissy Hunt (guitar).

Pawn Shoppe Heart is the major-label debut of American Garage Rock revival band The Von Bondies, and their second album, released in 2004. A shortened version of "C'mon C'mon" is the theme song for the American comedy-drama television show, Rescue Me. The song is also featured on various videogames. 180 gram audiophile vinyl.
Jack White produced the Von Bondies' debut album, Lack of Communication, in late 2001. It was recorded in three days. It was released in 2001 by Sympathy for the Record Industry, and in the UK by Sweet Nothing Records. The group relocated to a San Francisco recording studio in early 2002 with producer Jerry Harrison to begin work on Pawn Shoppe Heart.
