Fairport Convention - Full House album flac

Full House is the fifth studio album from UK folk/ rock act Fairport Convention. The album was recorded after the departure of two of the most prolific members of the band. Female vocalist Sandy Denny and bassist Ashley Hutchings were both heavily involved in the songwriting and re-arrangement of the traditional folk songs for their fourth album Liege & Lief. The musicianship is good but as I mentioned above the lead vocals are really weak and it sounds like they needed a bit more practice before they should have recorded them. The production is not as good as it was on Liege & Lief and of course this doesn�t help the music to shine either. I�m simply not entertained and the folky edge sometimes embarres me. I was really expecting more than this from Fairport Convention.

Full House, released in 1970, is the fifth album by folk rock group Fairport Convention and was their first album without a female vocalist, as Sandy Denny had left to form Fotheringay. Founder member Ashley Hutchings had also left for Steeleye Span, and Dave Pegg had joined on bass As their previous album, Liege & Lief, had reinterpreted a number of traditional folk tunes, so did Full House. Many were sewn into two medleys, "Dirty Linen" and "Flatback Caper".

The stereo mix of "Now Be Thankful" (an entirely different mix from the one that appears on Richard Thompson's Watching the Dark compilation) was created by Lee Hamblin and Frank Kornelussen and previously released on Island Life, 25 Years Of Island Records in 1988.

It is their second album to feature Trevor Lucas and Jerry Donahue, and features no original members of Fairport Convention. Polly on the Shore was re-recorded by the 21st-century lineup of Fairport Convention (featuring only Dave Pegg from the Nine-era lineup) for their album Sense of Occasion in 2007, with Simon Nicol on lead vocals
