Brave New World is a dystopian novel by English author Aldous Huxley, written in 1931 and published in 1932. Largely set in a futuristic World State of genetically modified citizens and an intelligence-based social hierarchy, the novel anticipates huge scientific developments in reproductive technology, sleep-learning, psychological manipulation, and classical conditioning, that are combined to make a utopian society that goes challenged only by a single outsider

Brave New World doesn't want to see that. It has no use for either the life or the death. All it has use for is the image because in the book, if you want excitement you go to the viddies; it's Aldous Huxley's premonition of virtual reality and I'm taking that and throwing it out there for discussion. The album cover depicted Eddie's menacing face in the stormy clouds over a futuristic London. The tour was called the "Brave New World Tour" in most places, but in Europe was called "Metal 2000. Like the "World Slavery Tour", it featured Eddie on stage. One of them was made of wicker (in reference to the first track on the album, "The Wicker Man") and contained young girls ("maidens", get it?). Bruce's response: "I don't think it's a realistic possibility, but equally it's not something I'm dead against. A few gigs would be a really good laugh, but I'm not holding my breath.

Brave New World continues the trends set forth by The X Factor and Virtual XI. With longer songs such as Dream of Mirrors, The Nomad, and The Thin Line Between Love And Hate, Iron Maiden shows off some of their Blaze era influences. However, the band also crafted shorter songs, more reminiscent to 80's era Maiden in tracks such as The Wicker Man, The Mercenary, and The Fallen Angel. Anybody who enjoyed Iron Maiden albums, whether from the 80's or 90's should be able to find something they like in Brave New World  . Brave New World is definitely the easiest album to get into since the band's glory days. The album is also the most enjoyable to listen to.

Brave New World was Iron Maiden’s last album to go gold in the . though that’s likely more of a reflection on universally declining album sales than any indication of the quality of the records that followed. The disc debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard album charts and was generally well-received by critics and fans. I still think the band may be a little too quirky in its own way for the kind of triple-platinum type audience, Dickinson told Detritus. In the '80s, we were too heavy, and all the hair bands went quintuple-platinum.

Produced by Kevin Shirley & Steve Harris. Album Brave New World. Brave New World Lyrics. Dying swans Twisted wings Beauty not needed here Lost my love Lost my life In this garden of fear I have seen many things In a lifetime alone Mother love is no more Bring this savage back home. Wilderness House of pain Makes no sense of it all Close this mind Dull this brain Messiah before his fall What you see is not real Those who know will not tell All is lost Sold your soul To this brave new world
