The Whatnauts week ends up with 2nd and 3rd album which complete their discography. Both vinyl seems brand new (never played before) so are perfectly ripped on @320. The Whatnauts needed a better name. That’s the main thing. They most definitely had the chops, with Billy Herndon on lead vocal and angelic falsetto, Gerald Pinkney on baritone and Garrett Jones in the tenor slot. They had the material, with classic slices of Philly soul like Message From A Black Man, I Dig Your Act, Genuine, Please Make The Love Go Away and You Forget Too Easy.
World" is a chugger and is typical of the message songs of the times; at five minutes, 18 seconds, it's the longest tune on the album. Despite the criticism, though, this is a fine release overall. 1 Try Me (And I'll Show You) The Whatnauts 4:12.
Track 9 is a non-album bonus track. Rights Society: JASRAC. Other Versions (4 of 4) View All. Cat.

The performance and track are tight, but the lyrics and arrangement are too juvenile for the Whatnauts ; Garnett sounds like he's trying to imitate Mickey Mouse. World" is a chugger and is typical of the message songs of the times; at five minutes, 18 seconds, it's the longest tune on the album.
