Push' was another underrated effort, smooth AOR with Kevin Elson at the helm. Some wonderful material abounds on that effort too. The sound was slightly different than the first, a more mature approach taken. However, as history shows, the people at Atlantic were less than accommodating, hoping instead for a continuation of the material from the debut, hence Virginia Wolf were denied any chance of a continued record deal. Their albums included Virginia Wolf (1985) and Push (1987). The band existed from 1977 until 1988, and featured Nick Bold on lead guitar throughout. Chris Ousey (later of Heartland) was the vocalist for most of this time and Jason Bonham (son of John Bonham) was the drummer on both their albums. The band was formed in Worsley near Manchester.
