De Pauls own versions of both of two songs would be found as tracks on her debut album, Surprise. In an interview with Cash Box, in early 1972, Don Kirshner said We are looking for another Carole King and we think we found her in Lynsey Rubin.

De Paul recorded her own version of the song as the B-side to her first single "Sugar Me" on the MAM record label a few months later.
