Cloud Cult is an experimental indie rock band from Duluth, Minnesota led by singer/songwriter Craig Minowa. The name originated from the ancient prophecies of indigenous North Americans. Cloud Cult developed in 1995 as Craig Minowa recruited several other artists to contribute to his solo recordings. The band's early work earned Cloud Cult several offers from record labels, but all were rejected in favor of self-publishing
The Seeker is Cloud Cult’s newest album and award winning feature-length film. The album features 13 new Cloud Cult songs including the radio singles No Hell, Through the Ages, and Days to Remember. It debuted on the radio charts at (CMJ Most Adds) and Entertainment Weekly calls it a must listen. The Seeker is also a feature length drama currently touring the film festival circuit and due out in select US theaters in late 2016. The film is written by Cloud Cult and directed by Jeff D. Johnson. One of the top 8 films not to miss this year.
Cloud Cult, 'The Seeker' (Earthology). Sorry, I have run out of personal superlatives to describe my love for this band. At a special show at The Amsterdam Bar in 2014 to celebrate the release of Mark Allister's book Chasing The Light, which details their incredible personal story and for which I was honored to write the foreword for, I called Love, their last release, their best album ever. That, I thought then, was a remarkable achievement for a band born nearly 20 years ago.

The Seeker, which debut February of 2016, is a concept album which doubles as a soundtrack for Cloud Cult’s self-produced short film by the same title.
