Ready to Die is the debut studio album by American rapper The Notorious . released on September 13, 1994, by Bad Boy and Arista Records. The album features production by Bad Boy founder Sean "Puffy" Combs, Easy Mo Bee, Chucky Thompson, DJ Premier, and Lord Finesse, among others. It was recorded from 1993 to 1994 at The Hit Factory and D&D Studios in New York City.
Ready to Die, The Notorious . s debut studio album, was released September 14, 1994. It was also Bad Boy Records' first release, produced by Bad Boy founder Sean Puffy Combs. s only album release during his lifetime; his sophomore project Life After Death was released days after his death in March 1997. Production of the album are in two waves-after Puffy was fired from Uptown records, the project was only half done. Biggie resumed production the following year under Bad Boy Records. He recorded the latter half by freestyling from memory.
