Woodrow Charles Herman (May 16, 1913 – October 29, 1987) was an American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, singer, and big band leader. Leading various groups called "The Herd", Herman came to prominence in the late 1930s and was active until his death in 1987. His bands often played music that was cutting edge and experimental for its time; they received numerous Grammy nominations and awards.
Savannah Churchill with Lenny Herman and His Orchestra. My Baby-kin, Oh, my baby, my Karen Lynn, Just to hold you close is a blessing from Heaven. Sweet Angel-kin, Cream-and-peachy skin and dimpled chin, Clap your teenchy hands in this fairyland. Got the eyes of your Mommy, Got the smile of your Daddy; Never knew anything could make us so happy. It's like playing house, Games and dollies and Mickey Mouse. Oh, our life begins with our Baby-kin. Got the eyes of your Mommy, Got the smile of your Daddy Never knew anything could make us so happy.
