Since Mr. Big had their big hit with the campfire singalong "To Be With You," it's easy for the average listener to assume that Mr. Big is one of the poppiest of the pop-metal bands, when precisely the opposite is the case. Mr. Big was formed by two virtuosos, shred kings Paul Gilbert (formerly the guitarist for Racer X) and Billy Sheehan, who came to prominence as the bassist for David Lee Roth's solo band, and the band was designed as a way for both to flash their chops. At least at first, songs were a secondary consideration, a vehicle for the two to play

A greatest hits album, sometimes called a "best of" album or a catalog album, is a compilation of songs by a particular artist or band. Most often the track list contains previously released recordings with a high degree of notability. However, to increase the appeal, especially to people who already own the original release, it is common to include remixes or alternate takes of popular songs; sometimes even new material (previously unreleased) will function as bonus tracks.

Greatest Hits is a compilation album by The Notorious . The album was released on March 6, 2007 by Bad Boy Records, three days before the 10th anniversary of his death. The album was criticized for not containing many of the Notorious . s biggest hits, including: Mo Money Mo Problems, Going Back to Cali, Player’s Anthem and Sky’s the Limit. It was also criticized as an unnecessary release, given the limited amount of material which the Notorious . released in his lifetime and the inferior quality of his ed work.
