Grave Danger - From Beyond album flac

The first thing that struck me upon listening to Grave Danger is how loose the band sounds, particularly compared to the surgical precision of Power Trip’s most recent. That’s not to say, however, that the performances are in any way sloppy; in fact, it’s quite the contrary. The fact that the whole record sounds like it could go careening off the rails at any moment is a big part of it’s appeal, and it works particularly well with angry, overtly political content of the lyrics. A lot of that looseness can probably be attributed to the fact that they’re from Finland – there’s more than a trace.

From Beyond the Grave is a 1974 British anthology horror film from Amicus Productions, directed by horror director Kevin Connor, produced by Milton Subotsky and based on stories by R. Chetwynd-Hayes. It was the last in a series of anthology films from Amicus and was preceded by Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965), Torture Garden (1967), The House That Dripped Blood (1970), Asylum (1972), Tales from the Crypt (1972) and The Vault of Horror (1973).

Grave Danger is a quick one at twenty nine minutes that provides eight blistering Crossover/Thrash aggression. Chemical Heritage’ does the best job at showing how quickly the mood of a Foreseen song can change. While ripping through some fast right, machine gun like riffs, a breakdown will hit just long enough to let you catch your breath only to pick back up. The next track, ‘Fearmonger’ also does a great job with transitions, but much more mindful of progressions

The cover illustration comes courtesy from the morbid mind of Mark Riddick. This, the first full length album by Burialkult, was intended to be recorded with a style and sound firmly rooted in the spirit of the 80’s.
