3 1994–1995: Breakthrough, "Gambarimashou", and SMAP 007 Gold Singer. 1996–1997: SMAP SMAP, Lonvaca phenomenon, Mori's departure, and "Shake". 1998–2000: "Beyond the Night Sky", "Lion Heart", and Shingo Mama phenomenon. 2001–2003: Smap Vest, pamS, Drink Smap, "The One and Only Flower in the World", and MIJ. 2004–2005: Individual activities and Sample Bang. 2006–2010: Pop Up Smap, super. performance, and We are SMAP. 2011–2015: Smap Aid, Gift of Smap, and M. The band released another album, SMAP 009, on August 12, which reached number one. From March to April, they held their last tour as a six-piece.

SMAP 007 〜Gold Singer』(スマップ ゼロゼロセブン ゴールドシンガー)は、SMAPの7枚目のオリジナルアルバム。 1995年7月7日にビクターエンタテインメントから発売された。 SMAP 006〜SEXY SIX〜から1年後にリリースされた。アルバムタイトルは、「007 ゴールドフィンガー」にちなんだタイトルとなっており、アルバムの最後には「ジェームズ・ボンドのテーマ」も収録されている。 前作でも数曲で展開された海外ミュージシャンの参加が本格化し、ドラムスにオマー・ハキム、ベースにウィル・リーなど、ポップス〜ジャズ・フュージョンまで世界の第一線で活躍している超一流の演奏家が数多く起用された。このアルバムでのセッションはミュージシャン達にとっても刺激になり、そのサウンドはオマー・ハキムにより「Smappies」と称され、後にSmappies名義でのオリジナル・アルバムが2枚制作されるまでに至った。

Since SMAP was so unsuccessful, Nakai asked Johnny & Associates to let SMAP host their own variety show to make people laugh with their unique personalities. The show was called "I Love SMAP" (愛ラブSMAP, Ai Rabu SMAP, a pun as the first character also means "love") In 2000, NTT East produced two animated and two live-action television commercials for their ISDN service featuring a more updated version of the anime series Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.
