1993's Powertrippin' was album from Scottish hard rockers The Almighty. The band started with a Skid Row meets Warrant "hair metal" sound, but you can hear them pushing in a heavier, Motorhead-driven rock sound on this album. Powertrippin' may be a heavy album, but it's also very melodic. You can (and should) shout along to these upbeat rockers, but they never seem as cheesy as the average 80's rock anthem.
