Free City is the only studio album by hip-hop group St. Lunatics. It was released on June 5, 2001, almost a full year after the release of group member Nelly's debut, Country Grammar. The album was a commercial success as it debuted at on the Billboard 200 with 196,000 copies sold in its first week. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA a month later. The title Free City came from their sixth member City Spud who was incarcerated at the time of release.

Exclusively for Prime members. This album is empowered by the group's definitive St. Louis style - a hybird of Dirty South cadences and Midwestern rhythms. The album proves hut how integral each member has been in crafting their style. They were making things fun with this album.

It's producer Jason "Jay E" Epperson, however, who's the album's MVP; he keeps the music interesting even when the raps aren't particularly memorable.

The St. Lunatics are a rap crew from St. Louis, Missouri formed by rapper Nelly and his hometown friends Ali, Murphy Lee, Kyjuan, City Spud and Slo'Down. They were formed in 1993 and came out with their local hit "Gimmie What U Got" in 1996.
