Future Memories' - ST 37 (2/10). Coming from the vault of one the United States' most traveled neo-psychedelic groups, 'Future Memories' was described to me as being a compilation of some of the band's historical material; due to the fact that this music doesn't seem to be on any studio album by psych ensemble ST 37, I'm guessing this can be best measured as a. b-sides collection. Coming across as a garage rock hybrid of space rock innovators Hawkwind, ST 37 definately has an interesting sound for them, to say the least.
Future Memories (Four/Four). The "Keep Austin Weird" bumper sticker can be multipurpose of course, but there are certain facets of the underground to which it applies in spades. ST 37 has been keeping it weird since 1987, and this wild and woolly collection of rarities and unreleased material proves that, through dozens of lineup changes and countless releases, they've been an influence on the past as well as the future
