Time is a musical with a book and lyrics by Dave Clark and David Soames, music by Jeff Daniels, and additional songs by David Pomeranz. Derived from the 1970s musical The Time Lord by Soames and Daniels, it focuses on contemporary rock musician Chris Wilder, who has been transported with his backup singers and band from a concert to the High Court of the Universe in the Andromeda Galaxy.

Dave Clark's "Time" is a concept album based on Dave Clark's 1986 musical Time. It was released in vinyl as a double LP (Catalog number: AMPM 1, EQ 5003) and in cassette format. It sold over two million copies and spawned four hit singles, one by Julian Lennon and two by Cliff Richard. Another song, "In My Defence", became a posthumous hit for Freddie Mercury in 1992.

The musical performed to more than 1 million people, while the soundtrack album and various singles sold over 12 million copies in total. Queen Involvement 'Time' featured two tracks which Freddie Mercury recorded, and were included on the cast album. However, he did not appear in the musical itself, except at a special charity performance on 14 April 1988. During this appearance he performed the same two tracks, plus 'Born To Rock 'n' Roll' and 'It's In Every One Of Us', a duet with Cliff Richard. The title track Time appears twice in the musical,.
