A new version of Last. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Very Best of Mozart. Overview (current section).
An authentic painting of Mozart circa 1777 I can assure you that it is perfect. There's no doubt that Mozart was a musical genius. He remains one of the greatest musical masters, not only of his day, but of all time. His best and most popular songs, concertos, symphonies, and operas are some of the greatest and most famous classical music compositions ever written. His genius has had a profound impact on the world of music and on many of his contemporaries.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) was a prolific composer and wrote in many genres. Perhaps his best-admired work is in opera, the piano concerto, sonata, the symphony, the string quartet, and string quintet. Mozart also wrote many pieces for solo piano, other forms of chamber music, masses and other religious music, and numerous dances, divertimentos, and other forms of light entertainment.

Mozart lived for just 35 years, but in that time he wrote some of the greatest classical songs of all time. From his Requiem to the Marriage of Figaro, here are the ten greatest pieces of music by Mozart. According to Peter Shaffer’s play (later made into a film) ‘Amadeus’, Mozart literally wrote this piece on his deathbed, having been poisoned by Salieri. But what is true is that the piece was left unfinished when Mozart died in 1791. Mozart’s pupil Sussmayr completed the work, but the gorgeous Lacrimosa and Kyrie are Mozart at his exquisite best. Symphony No. 41 ‘Jupiter’.
1. Clarinet Concerto in A . 22. As a clarinettist I would perhaps be in error not to initially discuss Mozart’s wonderful Clarinet Concert . 22 in A. This is a performance given by Sabine Meyer who I consider to be one of the most outstanding clarinet players alive today. The work is also surrounded by mystery and even though much of this was generated by the Shaffer play titled Amadeus, where the dark and menacing figure of Salieri is charged with commissioning the work that turns out to be a Requiem for the composer himself. Tom Service takes up the story here. 4. Piano Concerto N. 4 in C Minor: K. 491. This work probably given its first performance in 1786 in Vienna may have stunned the Viennese public, but it is one of the most wonderful Piano Concertos Mozart composed. The work is a powerful and masterful composition.
