Demon Hunter is the eponymous debut album by American metalcore band Demon Hunter, released through Solid State in 2002. The album was recorded in Drop C tuning. The band joined Extol on tour in the summer of 2003.
It’s unmistakable when you’re a Demon Hunter fan: the stylized demon skull with a hole in its head. It’s been portrayed in some form or another on the cover of every Demon Hunter album; it's the band’s own Eddie or Vic Rattlehead. Aside from those 2 songs, the rest of the album rocks with enough ugliness. Fans of Trivium and Shadows Fall should enjoy this album. But don't expect to hear a lot of intricate shredding, expect to hear trendy thrashing, highlighted with some nice grunge style singing.
Demon Hunter is a Seattle based metal band which first received wide notice in 2002 with the release of their self-titled album demon hunter on Solid State Records.
