The fourth single from Caustic Love, Paulo Nutini penned the song with the album's producer Dani Castelar and English musician Leo Abrahams, who was Pulp's guitarist between 2011-2013 and has also worked with Brian Eno, Imogen Heap and Paul Simon.

Sunny Side Up is the second studio album by Scottish singer and songwriter Paolo Nutini, released on 29 May 2009 in Ireland and 1 June 2009 in the United Kingdom. Nutini and his band, the Vipers, toured the United States briefly before a UK tour prior to the album's release. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Nutini recorded the album himself with his band the Vipers, with Ethan Johns contributing mixing and production.

Nutini's debut album, These Streets (2006), peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Its follow-up, Sunny Side Up (2009), debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Both albums have been certified quintuple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. After 5 years, Nutini released his third studio album, Caustic Love, in April 2014. Caustic Love debuted at number one on the UK Album Charts and was certified platinum by the BPI in June 2014.

Paolo Nutini's album Caustic Love has gone Platinum in the UK since its release this spring, and now the Scottish songwriter has unveiled a performance video for the track "One Da. This clip shows the vocalist and his band gathered on the porch of a barbecue restaurant. Despite the humble surroundings, they don't hold anything back in terms of arrangement, since they joined by a horn section, who beef up the soundscape during the second half of the passionate, slow-burning soul tune.
