Mark Van Blarcom Slade (born May 1, 1939) is an American actor, artist, and author, particularly remembered for his role of Billy Blue Cannon on the NBC Western television series, The High Chaparral. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Slade is the son of Elinor (née Van Blarcom) and William A. Slade J. a Boston businessman and watercolor artist. Along with his two sisters and a brother, he grew up in the Danvers/Hamilton area of the North Shore.
Till Deaf Do Us Part is the tenth studio album by the British rock group Slade. It was released on 13 November 1981 and reached No. 68 on the UK charts. The album was produced by Slade. Although not as successful as We'll Bring the House Down earlier in the year, this album sold well.

Slade in Flame is a soundtrack album by the British rock group Slade, released on 29 November 1974. It contains songs featured in the film of the same name. The album reached on the UK album chart and produced two hit singles, "Far Far Away", which reached on the UK Singles chart and "How Does it Feel". The band tried to give the album a "sixties" feel, as its eponymous film was set in 1966. Though the record was lauded by critics, the response of the general public was somewhat muted, and the album did not sell as well as expected.

Their roots dated back to the mid-60s when, as the 'N Betweens, they were one of the many bands trying to make a name for themselves in the wake of the Beatles' musical revolution.
