Jonathan Richard Guy Greenwood (born 5 November 1971) is an English musician and composer. He is the lead guitarist and keyboardist of the alternative rock band Radiohead, and has written a number of film scores. Along with his elder brother, Radiohead bassist Colin, Greenwood attended Abingdon School in Oxford, England, where he met the future band members. The youngest of the group, Greenwood was the last to join, first playing keyboards and harmonica but soon becoming lead guitarist

For the soundtrack to his movie The Master, Paul Thomas Anderson reunited with Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, who also provided the music to There Will Be Blood. The director's tale of a spiritually lost sailor and the leader of a religious organization he meets after World War II and the bond they form is set to music that alternately showcases the seeming innocence of the postwar era and tears off that veneer.

Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood provided the music for Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood, and he's reprising his role for Anderson's 2012 film The Master. The time is the postwar, pre–rock 'n' roll era of the '50s. Ella Fitzgerald, Madisen Beaty, Jo Stafford, and Helen Forrest songs weave into a mix of orchestral instrumentals that flow like a dream sequence where emotions are heightened but difficult to fully parse.
