Summer: The Original Hits, is a new greatest hits album that celebrates Donna Summer's legacy, for anyone that has never even had a listen to Donna Summer's music. Like last year's The Bee Gees: All-Time Greatest Hits, the album primarily focuses in on Donna Summer's greatest hits through her entire time in the Disco nightclub music scene, without really stretching further outside the 90's & late 80's. Still, there are a lot of great songs that showcases Donna Summer well. I felt a bit disappointed with this album, because it didn't give the fullest experience of when Disco music was widely ruled,, and Donna Summer was all the rage. This collection feels like it misses the mark, and doesn't draw in the best of both worlds.
