Worlds Apart is the fourth studio album by the Canadian neo progressive rock band Saga and was originally released in 1981. The album has been released with several different covers. The album was produced by Rupert Hine

Worlds Apart would become Saga's first US Top 30 album and went Gold in the process because the material is timeless and still holds up today. Once Sony lost the licensing rights to the album, the band re-released the album in a remastered version withthe artwork from the Canadian version of the album and also the track "Time's Up" moved to the second track on the album and had "Wind Him Up", "Amnesia" and "Framed" moved to third, fourth and fifth tracks respectively

Saga's first major-label release was also the band's commercial breakthrough; the single "On the Loose" was not only a radio hit, but one of the first videos to be featured on the fledgling MTV network. Fortunately, the rest of the album holds up nearly as well as that fine single; fleshing out the songs' arrangements with lots of interesting instrumental detail, the band manages to maintain their progressive rock roots while producing strong, effective pop tunes. The lyrics are interesting and intelligent without being pretentious or eggheaded

In 2007, Saga released "Worlds Apart Revisited", a live album in a 2-CD package that included all the songs from the original "Worlds Apart" album recorded as they were played in a recent concert by the band along with other popular works that the band played for fans in their set.
