Histoire de Melody Nelson is a 1971 concept album by French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg. Produced by Jean-Claude Desmarty, the album was released on March 24, 1971 through Philips Records. The Lolita-esque cal plot of the album involves the middle-aged Gainsbourg unintentionally colliding his Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost into teenage girl Melody Nelson's bicycle, and the subsequent seduction and romance that ensues

The third song off Genesis' legendary 1974 album, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Broadway Melody of 1974 kicks off from the cool instrumental outro of the previous song, Fly on a Windshield, right into the bustling metropolis of Rael’s imaginary New York. The title itself is a play on the musical film, The Broadway of 1929, and the whole song reflects a parody of the political and cultural landscape of 1974 America.
Alain Badiou (born January 17, 1937) is a contemporary French philosopher, Badiou has written about the concepts of being, truth, event and the subject in a way that, he claims, is neither postmodern nor simply a repetition of modernity. Badiou argues for resurrecting the practice of communism. Truth is a new word in Europe (and elsewhere).
