The Lexicon of Love II is the ninth studio album by English band ABC. It was released on 27 May 2016 on Virgin EMI, eight years after their previous album Traffic. After a performance of ABC's studio album The Lexicon of Love in concert with Anne Dudley, lead singer of the band Martin Fry felt that it was time to develop a proper follow-up to the album. He wrote over 40 songs for the album with various guest writers and recorded the album with himself and Gary Stevenson producing.
ABC's debut album combined the talents of the Sheffield, . based band, particularly lead singer Martin Fry, a fashion plate of a frontman with a Bryan Ferry fixation, and the inventive production style of former Buggles member Trevor Horn and his team of musicians, several of whom would go on to form the Art of Noise.

Lexicon first mastered the 3-demensional aspect of these magnificent structures almost 40 years ago and the Native Concert Hall is the pinnacle of that lineage. A hall is a comparatively large space with wall-to-wall distances that are typically several tens of meters. They are the principal venue for classical ensembles, but have proven to be useful for all types of music. The Lexicon® Hall algorithm provides an exceptional reproduction of these large, wide, panoramically wonderful spaces.
Barry’s got a talent for world-building. The world that Lexicon is set in is like our own, but with this extra layer that you and I have heretofore been unaware of. Now all is revealed. This novel doesn’t have the overt humor that I tend to associate with Mr. Barry’s work.
