Gloria is the first album by the Shadows of Knight, released in 1966 on Dunwich Records 666. The Shadows of Knight are primarily known for their hit version of the Van Morrison penned Them band's "Gloria", but the band today is regarded as one of the original punk bands. The band's association with "Gloria" has caused some to miscategorize them as one-hit wonders.

The Shadows of Knight are primarily known for the garage classic "Gloria", but this album illustrates quite well why they were considered for a time the 'american Rolling Stones' as the band rocked old blues numbers with tight arrangements and blistering lead guitar(s). Their "Oh Yeah" reinvents the old Bo Diddley classic, and "Light Bulb Blues" is IMHO a better rocker than. Gloria is the debut album by the garage rock band The Shadows of Knight, originally released in 1966. The Shadows of Knight are primarily known for their hit version of Gloria, originally written by Van Morrison’s Northern Irish band Them. At the same time, the band today is regarded as one of the original punk bands. After releasing Gloria as a single in December 1965, which received massive regional airplay, the band soon released the Gloria album in the summer of 1966.
