Jack Johnson (also known as A Tribute to Jack Johnson on reissues) is a studio album and soundtrack by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis. It was released on February 24, 1971, by Columbia Records. The album was conceived by Davis for Bill Cayton's documentary of the same name, on the life of boxer Jack Johnson. Its two 25-minute-plus tracks were produced from recordings made on February 18 and April 7, 1970, at 30th Street Studio in New York City

In 2001, Johnson released his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, which sold over a million copies. G. Love knew Johnson was going to make it big when they jammed together. I felt like I was in the presence of greatness," he told Artist Waves. "He's playing me these songs and you could just tell they were hits. Prior to this collaboration, G. Love & Special Sauce's music had been used in some surfing films made by Johnson, so Dutton actively sought him out. The song was recorded while Johnson was working on a surfing documentary called Thicker Than Water. More songs from G. Love & Special Sauce.

The Complete Recordings is a compilation album by American blues musician Robert Johnson, released August 28, 1990 on Columbia Records. The album's recordings were recorded in two sessions in Dallas and San Antonio, Texas for the American Record Company (ARC) during 1936 and 1937. Most of the songs were first released on 78rpm records in 1937. The Complete Recordings contains every recording Johnson is known to have made, with the exception of an alternate take of "Travelling Riverside Blues".

Right on Time (The Brothers Johnson album). Right On Time is the second album by the Los Angeles, California-based duo Brothers Johnson. Released in 1977, the album peaked at number two on the R&B albums chart and number thirteen on the pop albums chart in the .

On and On. Studio album by Jack Johnson. A different version of the track "Rodeo Clowns" was originally published as a collaboration with G. Love & Special Sauce on the latter's 1999 album Philadelphonic. Johnson sang the chorus of his song "Gone" on the Black Eyed Peas song "Gone Going (Featuring Jack Johnson)", which appeared on their album Monkey Business.

'Round about 1998 there was a band in Brighton called Things To Do For Boys who were basically two guys - Mike Fawcett and L'il Ted (can't remember his full name - but he would be A. Chamberlain). By about 1999 or 2000 Things To Do For Boys renamed themselves The Muckys and had (at least) one really good song - Sauce Covered Johnson. At the same time there was a guy called Will who promoted various gigs at the Free Butt and The Albert in Brighton. He also had a Mexican-themed shop in Sydney Street and drummed in Wreckless Eric's band.Under Will's shop there was a big cellar that Eric used to record in and one night a load of us crammed in there with The Muckys and recorded this version of Sauce Covered Johnson. I am on backing vocals. The track subsequently appeared on a local CD comp put out by Phil Nelson, the Levellers manager, called 'Living la Vida Local'.This 7" was put out by a guy called Matthew Trott. He issued it at the same time as the Fuck U Planet Earth single (which has possibly the worst label design of any single ever made, rendering both band name and song titles virtually unreadable). I think he pressed about 500 of each, gave a few away and then hid the rest under his bed. (He did the same with a 14 Iced Bears/Crocodile Ride single he put out (or nearly put out) in the 1980s).The Muckys played some gigs now and then in the early/mid 2000s (I saw them support The Fall at the Concorde around 2005).Sadly Mike Fawcett, who was a teacher at Blatchington Mill school in his day job, died very suddenly in 2009.As for The Free Butt - this small but popular venue was in an area of Brighton that was gentrified. It lost its music license as the incoming residents didn't like the noise (they knew that they were moving near to a lively pub but moved in anyway).Without the trade from the gig crowd the pub went out of business in the mid/late 2000s and the building is now derelict. Another Brighton success story.
