Bob Wills Is Still the King" is a song written and performed by American country music artist Waylon Jennings, as a tribute of sorts to the Western swing icon Bob Wills. It is known in two forms. A live recording of the song was released in June 1975 as the concluding track on the album Dreaming My Dreams, and then appeared in August 1975 as the B-side of "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way", the second single from the album.
James Robert Wills (March 6, 1905 – May 13, 1975) was an American Western swing musician, songwriter, and bandleader. Considered by music authorities as the co-founder of Western swing, he was widely known as the King of Western Swing (although Spade Cooley self-promoted the moniker "King Of Western Swing" from 1942 to 1969).

It was also praised by Wills' daughter, Rosetta, who called it "the best tribute to my father's music I've ever heard. Home in San Antone (vocals by Chris Mills). As its title implies, Encore is a collection of late Bob Wills recordings, made after his primary work was done. In 1960, Wills reunited with singer Tommy Duncan, who had left his band in 1948, for the Liberty Records LPs Together Again (1960) and Living Legend (1961).
