Billy storm was born in dayton, ohio but moved to los angeles where he attended los angeles high school. He joined the a cappela choir, and the went on to los angeles city college as a music major and continued as a solist in church choirs. IT Was during this time that billy storm became lead with the valiants. Mitch miller discover billy’s talent and storm had hit the top 30 in 1959 on columbia with "I’ve come of age". He had minor hits on vista, infinity, forum, keen and other small labels. The balance of the valiants has drifted their various ways. But the "Original" valiants on this album made at the peak of their career.
