SEAWAY have released a new acoustic song! The new acoustic song, titled Something Wonderful (the original version is taken from 2017’s Vacation) is taken from new record Fresh Produce, a collection of b-sides and alternate versions of fan favourites, which is set for release on Friday. Speaking about the album, vocalist Ryan Locke says, we really just wanted to bridge the gap between Vacation and the next album. We’ve been so busy for the last two years. If we weren’t touring we were writing and then recording so it’s a lot of time away from home.

Their output is fairly short, with only a demo and split fully released. In 2017, they release a three-track teaser titled fragmentary, which included songs meant for an LP due out in 2018. No word on when/if that will come to fruition, seeing as some members are currently active in the incredible and very busy SeeYouSpaceCowboy. The heavy acoustic strumming is heavenly, creating a harmonious space amidst the emotionally-driven chaos. The third track, "Hindsight" acts as an instrumental guitar interlude. It relies just as much on the space between notes as the notes themselves to provide a nice break and perfect segue into the next half of the album.

Wheatus is the self-titled debut album by American rock band Wheatus. The majority of the songs were written by vocalist/guitarist Brendan B. Brown. It was recorded in the basement of Brown's mother's house and was produced by Wheatus and Philip A. Jimenez. Bassist Rich Liegey left the band and was replaced by Mike McCabe in July 2000

Alice in Chains (occasionally informally referred to as The Dog Album, The Dog Record, and Tripod) is the self-titled third studio album by the American rock band Alice in Chains. It was released on November 7, 1995, and was the follow-up to the highly successful Dirt. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 46 weeks. Grind", "Heaven Beside You" and "Again" were released as singles.

Though this self-titled album is more metal than anything else, I have to plead ignorance as to which metal sub-genre Acoustic Guillotine pledges their allegiance to. Their bass-and-guitar-duo sound lacks metal’s trademark guitar heroics, but they’re too energetic and obtuse to be stoner rock. Acoustic Guillotine is a genre all their own. In that, they’re a paragon of the Iowa City rock scene, a no-man’s-land between hippie, headbanger and punk culture

Fittingly still self-titled, all 13 songs were re-recorded, including the band’s largest single Flavor Of The Weak ; the album will be released released by Rude Records on April 29. You can check out the album cover, as well as a music video for the acoustic version of Flavor Of The Weak below.
