Victory is the fifteenth studio album by the Jacksons. It was released on July 2, 1984 by Epic Records. The album was the only album to include all six Jackson brothers together as an official group; also, it was the band's last album to be entirely recorded with lead singer Michael Jackson, as well as their first album to feature Jermaine Jackson since 1975's Moving Violation

Destiny saw the Jacksons reassert control over writing and production, and produced a string of worldwide hit singles. Blame It on The Boogie’ caught the mood of the burgeoning disco market, while the group’s self-composed ‘Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)’ signalled Michael Jackson’s growing artistic maturity. The success of Michael’s first adult solo venture, Off The Wall in 1979, switched his attention away from the group. Between 1981 and the release of Victory in 1984, Michael issued Thriller, which regularly heads the bestselling album of all time list. When the Jacksons’ own effort was released, it became apparent that he had made only token contributions to the record, and its commercial fortune suffered accordingly. State Of Shock’, which paired Michael with Mick Jagger, was a US hit, but sold in smaller quantities than expected.
Victory (The Jacksons album), Victory is the 16th studio album by The Jacksons It was released on July 2, 1984 by Epic Records The album was the only album to include all si. The album only had two videos - for the songs "Torture" and "Body" - and neither Jermaine nor Michael appeared in either one A wax dummy of Michael acted as a stand in for the "Torture" video. Michael recorded "State of Shock", a duet originally recorded with Queen lead vocalist Freddie Mercury The duo were unable to finish the track, so Michael ended up recording a second version of the track with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
In retrospect, Victory is a competent album of slick contemporary R&B, occasionally goosed toward greatness by the appearance of one of pop music's most identifiable voices. Which is the same thing you can say about nearly the entire Jackson 5/Jacksons catalog.
The album marked the first time in the band's career in which they had complete artistic control, and was also the first album produced by the brothers. Pictures, videos, biodata, and files relating to Destiny (The Jacksons album) are also acceptable encyclopedic sources.
Victory 4/10 (a classic example of the album, which is recorded on need although I like State of shock. my dad (not the biggest MJ fan ) loves it too). E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator. Then I suppose there's the Live album which is one of my most played, but I can't rank it with the studio albums. fm profile Letterboxd profile.
Victory Tour (The Jacksons tour). The Victory Tour was a concert tour of the United States and Canada by The Jacksons between July and December 1984. It was the only tour with all six Jackson brothers, even though Jackie was injured for most of it. The group performed 55 concerts to an audience of approximately 2 million. Most came to see Michael, whose album Thriller had been dominating the popular music world at the time
