That's the giant contrast running throughout Inhale/Exhale's heavy though rock-oriented songs; it's an emotional and aggressive mix of light and dark, heaven and hell, and one that pretty convincingly pulls off both ends of the spectrum. Balance is key here, as neither the melody-injected parts nor the volatile explosions are jarring in their delivery, opposites melding together to coexist nicely on the album.

Inhale Exhale was an American metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio. The band was formed in 2005 by Guitarist John LaRussa (former member of the band Narcissus) and bassist Brian Pittman (former member of the band Relient K). In 2006, they added vocalist Ryland Raus and Bobby Poole on drums prior to the recording and release of their Solid State Records debut, The Lost. They shot two videos for the release, "A Call to the Faithful" and "Redemption".

Sound - 9 This album is metal. The guitar lines are not over comlicated, by no means are they a walk in the park but they don't thrash at 100 mph all the time. The drums don't over-power like with some bands I've heard. The great thing is that it doesn't just thrash the whole way through, it also comes down and shows off their ability to fidle with clean sounds. I think overall, the sound is of a high quality.
