Radio JXL: A Broadcast from the Computer Hell Cabin is the third studio album by Dutch electronic music producer Junkie XL. Released in 2003, the double album features collaborations with a number of other artists. The songs on the first disc ("3PM") are generally short and vocally-driven much like modern pop, though many of them are more upbeat, with JXL relying on the more heavier electronic genres, including house.
Them were a Northern Irish showband formed in Belfast in April 1964, most prominently known for the garage rock standard "Gloria" and launching singer Van Morrison's musical career. The original five member band consisted of Morrison, Alan Henderson, Ronnie Milling, Billy Harrison and Eric Wrixon. The group was marketed in the United States as part of the British Invasion.
The Last Broadcast (album). The Last Broadcast is the second studio album by British indie rock band Doves. The album was released by Heavenly Records on 29 April 2002, and went straight to number 1 on the UK Albums Chart.
Broadcast And The Focus Group’s contribution was a delightful three-song single that took the spectral ambiences of their collaborative album, compressed them, and gave them a less crooked rhythmic spine
The new Broadcast album, in the company of Julian House’s Focus Group, has proved to be one of those records that resist, in some way, being written about. Perhaps it may be something to do with how Broadcast And The Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults Of The Radio Age is a slippery, fragmentary listen; a collage of 23 disjointed, often dislocated snippets that feel as if they’ve been harvested from a dusty collection of neglected old soundtracks.
The Last Broadcast- The title track of the album has some cool electronics in it. The main riff has some vocal samples or something in it, which makes it very cool. The song is comforting them. This was the song that got me interested in the Doves and a lot of other british bands, such as Elbow and Coldplay. One of the best tracks on the cd this is, I never skip it when listening to the album.
