Clare's is a series of nine books written by English children's authors Enid Blyton and Pamela Cox about a boarding school of that name.

I had loved Enid Blyton, but had never read one of the St Clare's stories until I was 12 or so. I was at a sleepover, and my friend slept in for what felt like hours. Bored, I got up and pulled down the only book on her shelf that didn't look boring; and found myself lost in the world of St Clare's girls! I read the first book that weekend, and the following two the next two weekends. The twins have previously been at a boarding school called Redroofs and are determined not to enjoy the new school, St. Clare's. Both of the girls are initially portrayed as snobs that do not mix w It was super to have the opportunity to re read this old childhood favourite. It took me back to the 1950's. I think that these stories still have a place for children today. Although the twins Isabel and Pat are 14 in the stories I feel that they are more suited to a much younger audience these days.

The first St. Clare's book was published in 1941 and the series of six books remains popular today. The series is unusual in that the first three titles all revolve around life in the first form while the other three focus on the second, fourth and fifth forms respectively. The Twins at St Clare's (1941) Pat and Isabel, the O'Sullivan twins, find life at St Clare's is not at all as easy as at their old school. They have several shocks and arguments before they realise the difficulties are of their own making, and settle down and make friends. 2. The O' Sullivan Twins (1942) It's the start of the Easter Term and Pat and Isabel are looking forward to meeting all their friends at St Clare's once more. The new girls prove to be a source of much amusement, and there is all the fun of boarding-school life as well

Schooldays at St Clare's are never dull for twins Pat and Isabel O'Sullivan in Enid Blyton's much-loved boarding school series. In book one, the twins are simply not having it. St Clare's is beneath them and they're determined to cause a stir. But life at St Clare's is not as easy as they thought. They have several surprises and arguments before they admit their troubles are of their own making, and settle down to make friends. Expect mischief at St Clare's! Enid Blyton has been delighting readers for more than seventy years.

The twins miss their favourite sports of field hockey and tennis because only lacrosse is played at St Clare's. However, Isabel turns out to be quite good at lacrosse. She is selected by sports captain Belinda Towers despite having defied her earlier. The twins soon make good friends with the other girls and play pranks on others in the school. Most pranks are directed at Miss Kennedy, their new history teacher for the term, who is a very timid and insecure teacher, though highly qualified
