It is one of the albums that introduced me to ska. Back when Moon Ska went out of business, I found a ton of Moon Ska titles at a dollar store in North Carolina. Out of all the albums I bought that day this is the only one that I have replaced over the years. All the songs on this album are so good. This also isn't off the wall skank till you pass out ska, although it is still easy to lose yourself in this album, it is more downtempo and chil. Like loungy ska, I guess thats why they are called Highball Holiday.
Billie Holiday ( MG C-161) is the third 10 inch LP album of original material by jazz singer Billie Holiday, released on Clef Records in 1954 (her final album would also be given the same title, prior to being changed to Last Recording instead). The recordings took place in 1952 and 1954. Holiday never entered the recording studio in 1953.
Highball and Holiday are synonymous, and they have mutual synonyms. Holiday and Highball. Highball & Holiday. Google Ngram Viewer shows how "highball" and "holiday" have occurred on timeline
