The songs are interspersed with other routines, including a spoonerism routine ("Lirty Dies") near the end of each performance with innuendoes about recent scandals. They have released over 40 albums, primarily song parodies.
It was released in November 2006, after the mid-term Congressional elections, thus several of the jokes on the album were already dated due to the impending control of Congress by the US Democratic Party. Unlike many of the Steps' recent albums, this one was not recorded live in front of an audience. It is the group's first holiday season release since 1993, and their third such release overall.
Although the cover indicates that George W. Bush, his family, staff, and Cabinet are targets, most of their songs are focused on general holiday topics. While this group can be hilarious, this CD has the effect of being rushed into production, as the parodies don't stick, like many of their earlier releases. One of the puzzling tracks is Mike Tilford 's vocal in "Mel's Christmas," a piece intended to skewer actor Mel Gibson for his drunken DUI tirade against Jews, though. Told You So. Little Bomber Boy.
